Join us on Sunday, May 21, 2017, for the sixth annual A Mild Sprain Trail Race, a 4.25-ish mile trail race in Sprain Ridge Park in Yonkers, New York. Don’t miss this great event.
For all of our runners in the NYC boroughs and southern Westchester, this is just over the Bronx border in Yonkers at a beautiful county park… Everyone farther afield, it will be worth the trip.
Race date is Sunday, May 21, 2017, and start time is 9:45am (check-in is between 8:30 and 9:30am).
The 4.25-ish mile course is a great fun test of trail running. It has some great climbs, fun downhills, single track trails, switchbacks, along with plenty of rocks and logs to navigate. There will be a water station at the 2.25-mile mark.
All net proceeds go to JDRF whose mission is to find a cure for type 1 diabetes and its complications through the support of research.
“Just want to let you know that you put on a great event. The course was by far the best and most demanding trail event I have run this year.”
A Mild Sprain is the second in the Trail Mix Trail Series of local trail races. You don’t have to participate in the series to run the race though — all are welcome! Learn more about the Trail Mix Series here ››
The City of White Plains in conjunction with the White Plains BID will be hosting a 5K Run/Walk to commemorate those men and women who gave the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom. Join us as a walker, runner, marcher or spectator as we honor our Fallen Soldiers. Learn more about the 5K here››
